| I’ve been taking pictures in various forms since I was a child. I studied photography at the Northern Virginia Community College, and I committed to a career as a photographer in 2006. I interned at The Potomac News (Woodbridge, VA) in '06, and The York (PA) Dispatch in '07. Most recently I was a staff photographer at The News & Messenger (Manassas, VA) from November of 2008 to March of 2012. The photojournalism world is always changing and the latest cameras offer an amazing opportunity to tell stories in different ways. I'm always interested in covering the latest news, and I’m excited to embrace video as a new tool to do this. I like to explore why we behave the way we do and why we live the way we do. I like exploring these thoughts through portraits and stories. After all the differences we see between ourselves and everyone else, it still seems that we are more alike than not. |
