Info

Ana Humphrey recently won the Regeneron Science prize for her mathematical work on discovering exoplanets, planets outside our solar system. Humphrey, 18, created a mathematical model that analyzed the gravitational stability of multi-planet systems around other stars and identified locations in these systems where there might be missing planets. She is photographed at the Lockheed Martin Space Education Center, in Crystal City, VA, on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Humphrey graduated TC Williams High School in June and will be attending Harvard University in the fall and plans on publishing her mathematical model. John Boal Photography
