Sharon Strine, Gerrymandering

Sharon Strine stands by what used to be a general store in Wolfsville, Maryland, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Strine is the plaintiff in a case contesting the redistricting of Maryland's Congressional Districts. Formerly of Maryland's 6th District, Wolfsville is now part of the 8th District. The 6th was redistricted in 2011, combining rural northern Maryland regions with more affluent communities like near Washington D.C. turning the district from Republican to Democrat.
