St Paul's Episcopal Church

St. Paul's Episcopal Church rests on a large piece of granite above the Falling Rock Creek, on Bear Mountain, in Amherst, VA. The church, established in 1908, rapidly became the spiritual center of Monacan Nation, particularly after a schoolhouse was built for the children. In 1963, Amherst County allowed Monacan children to attend public schools.
