Ana Humphrey, Scientist

Ana Humphrey is the recipient of the top award in the 2019 Regeneron science talent search for her mathematical work on discovering exoplanets, planets outside our solar system. Humphrey, 18, created a mathematical model analyzing the gravitational stability of multi-planet systems around other stars and identified locations in these systems where there might be missing planets. She is photographed at the Lockheed Martin Space Education Center, in Crystal City, VA. Humphrey graduated TC Williams High School in June 2019 and is attending Harvard University.
